STORY

Despite only having been around for less that a year, electronic production duo Wavewalkrs have kept busy. Their first releases #truthlies and whatislove have accumulated hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and a promising collaboration with emerging artist AKINE (Best Laid Plans Records) is in the works. And that’s not all. Having just come off the incredible experience of touring with Bastille (sharing the stage with friend AKINE), and with new music lined up for a spring release, it’s an exciting time of growth and transformation. 

 

Seeing them onstage you would think that Nikita and Yura of the Wavewalkrs have been playing together for years but despite growing up in the same town, the boys were only properly introduced when they came to Kyiv to pursue a common dream - creating music.

 

It was only when they joined forces in a production capacity that their individual talents began to really shine through. Nikita’s creativity as a musician and composer and Yuriy’s experience as a sound producer and self-taught multi-instrumentalist came together in tandem-to the result of a boundless live production blend that is both beautiful to listen to and interesting to watch.

 

Their follow up release is already available for preview on Soundcloud and comes as a custom track for tech brand LENOVO. 

As their transformer Yoga laptop launches in Eastern Europe, the Wavewalkrs teamed up with the Lenovo team to present this new product by integrating it into an exclusive filmed performance, available soon. 

 

Action packed and just getting started, you can expect much more from these quietly ambitious and intriguing duo. If there’s one thing you can be sure of, it’s that they have no intention of slowing down.
